Love should come first,
it should be the beginning of,
and the reason for everything.”
― Gerald G. May

The DJ had to make an announcement for everyone to stop moving. The lights go up and the guests curiously looked around as to what was going on. This was during the reception when eveybody was already in a partying mood. So you can only imagine the look on everyone's faces. I looked up and I see Jason walking around with a worried look on his face. He was pacing up and down the floor when he then revealed that his wedding ring fell from his finger and is somewhere on the dance floor. Yes, the wedding ring that he has only been wearing for a couple of hours is missing. I can only imagine the horror that he must have been feeling. Which I can relate to since I also remember almost losing my then fiancee's engagement ring when a wave almost took it away while I was taking pictures of it on the sand for our save-the-date cards. But I digress. So after a few minutes of searching someone finally yelled that they have found the ring. And it is no other than Jason's bestman. The ring was found underneath one of the tables. Which I can only guess that it must have fallen from Jason's finger when the partying started. But Jason had stepped out for awhile when his bestman found his ring. So imagine his surprise when he came back in and he found his bestman kneeling on one knee "proposing" to him. Which caused the whole room to burst out in laughter. And if there is one thing that I can take away from this wedding it is this: Jason chose his bestman for the sole reason that if and when SHIT HITS THE FAN, he knows damn well that his bestman will be there to have his back. Period.

With this wedding brouhaha finally out of the way, the only thing that should be in their minds at that moment is that hopefully all the alcohol is consumed during the party. Which I have a feeling it did. And besides, there is no greater feeling than by being surrounded by their closest family and friends celebrating their love. That night I saw them smiling and laughing. They can finally let their hair down and dance the night away. And dance the night away they did.
