“No one realizes how beautiful it is to travel
until he comes home
and rests his head on his old, familiar pillow. ”

So I finally turned 38 years old. And the one thing I've been wanting to do is to just go take the family and play in the snow. Easy enough right? But not so much when my wife and I are in the same nursing profession and work in the same facility. When we ask for a few days off, that by itself, will cause major problems with staffing. So December and January came by and our requests for a vacation got rejected. We also didn't get approved for a weekend off in February. Which would have been a perfect time to go to Big Bear since the month of February, it was still unusually cold and rainy here in California. March finally came, and good thing California's weather is so unpredictable that luckily there was still some snow left. I guess we will just try again next year.
